DevStart Workshops offer hands-on training in eye-tracking methodology, statistical analysis, and programming for cognitive scientists. The topics of our workshops are always covered on DevStart too. We run them both independently and as part of larger events (e.g., conferences, summer schools, or workshop series).
This website serves us as a hub to provide the participants of each specific workshop with all the relevant information, materials, and resources.
Topics
Our workshops cover different topics including:
Eye-Tracking
- Design eye-tracking experiments (also for infants and children)
- Collect data using DeToX, our Python package for Tobii eye-trackers
- Preprocess data with fixation classification methods optimized for young participants
- Analyze gaze and pupil data
Statistical Analysis
- Linear and generalized mixed-effects modelling
- Bayesian modelling
- Publication-ready data visualization
and we are working on expanding our themes and topics even further!

Eye-tracking Workshop for Developmental Scientist
Our first eye-tracking workshop designed to guide developmental researchers through the complete workflow, from collecting eye-tracking data with infants and children to preprocessing and analyzing gaze data
Interested in Hosting a Workshop?
Don’t see a workshop that fits your needs? We’d love to collaborate with you! Whether you’re organizing a conference, summer school, or institutional training event, we can design a customized workshop tailored to your group’s specific interests and skill levels.
